Welcome to Needlecraft, the largest, specialist quilting and embroidery retailer in New Zealand.

Needlecraft is owned and operated by Lynette and Vallis Peet. The business began in 1981 as a small craft supplies shop and our mail order service began when we advertised in New Zealand Womens Weekly magazine and received over 800 replies.Mail order has continued to grow ever since and is now the major part of our business.

We introduced our VIP Club in 1990 when we issued VIP Cards to everyone on our database. These were manually calculated and prone to error as members frequently lost their cards or forgot to bring them with them when they came shopping. Then in 1995 we installed a new computer system which automatically calculates the bonus points on every invoice and then automatically produces VIP Club Bonus Vouchers when the club member has earned 50 bonus points.

We currently service mail order customers throughout New Zealand and Australia, as well as any other countries worldwide. We have a team of skilled people who run our retail store, mail order and small wholesale operation.

Throughout our history we have never wavered from our policy of staying within the stitch craft fields. We specialise in all types of stitching crafts, including Hardanger, Cross Stitch, Embroidery and Patchwork and Quilting, and our goal is to offer our customers everything they need for their particular stitching projects. However we could not ignore the more recent popularity of scrapbooking, cardmaking & papercrafts, so we now offer a selection of books & magazines.
